Dr. Kanneganti is the CTO of HCL Middleware and SOA practice. He leads a team of global architects, to provide architectural consulting, evaluation, and implementation.

Dr. Kanneganti has a long and distinguished career in IT. He obtained his bachelor degree in computer science from IIT Madras, a leading undergraduate university from India. He finished his Ph.D. in programming languages from Rice University. Later, he joined Bell Labs, where he was part of a team researching very large databases and billing systems. He founded a billing company with his colleagues from Bell Labs that specialized in B2B billing.

In the current role, he helps companies in their IT strategies, in particular using SOA. Based on his experiences, he authored a book on SOA Security published by Manning publishers in Dec 2007. He brings his hands-on approach to the problems he works on along with the business experience. In addition, he has been a pioneer in using open source in the products he developed for various companies.
